The Words of My Teacher Ring in My Head

“You are eager, and anticipate great things, that is good–God has made you sensitive to His Spirit–and each one of you will grow in the knowledge of Christ, each one in his purposed time.

Therefore, in your seeking, guard your heart; that it does not harbor any ambitions of its own.  These will blind you from the truth and burden you with fruitless anxieties.

Likewise, as you grow, guard your heart from jealousies of one another.  Do all you do in submission to God with humility of mind and the utmost reverence before Him.  Bitter jealousies will dull the senses which God uses to speak to you, making your unity with the Spirit dull and vague as well.

In all you say and do, let it be from God.  Stay watchful, alert, sober; all you need do is listen, receive and obey.”

Where We’re At…

Now that the Great Task has been accomplished by the greatest of all servants, Christ the King Eternal, those who are privileged to serve Yahweh in Christ are freed and empowered to do anything in submission to God.

The saints are no longer bound by anything of this world, but as they are still in it, they have been given power, through God’s Spirit, to do as Christ did: to transform the things of this world into their redemptive submission to God, that others may likewise be freed to the full capacity that is offered in Christ.

The Spirit reveals all things that this may be accomplished.  But neither the vision, nor its fulfillment will be seen alone.  There must be perfect unity, together in Christ.

Bitter jealousies and selfish ambitions must be altogether removed from our presence by joining together, as the broken vessels we are, as one body, fully submitting to God; pressing–with all, faith; with all, hope; and with all, love–toward the fulfillment of God’s complete plan of redemption.

Infatuations with Legos and Puzzles

[A StarWars Y-Wing made of legos reminded me of my childhood and time recently spent completing puzzles with my family]  I believe I really like to see things fit into their places.

A Glimpse of the Present

God is taking those areas in which I have weakness and building them up so that they must be habitually strengthened (i.e. physical fitness with the military, ROTC).  This in in preparation of the future.

Lord, give me the vision for what You have planned, no rather the the patience to wait on You.  In trust and obedience I will be blessed–do as You will, show as you will, I am Your (willing) slave.

Concerning My Scorn of Men’s National Pride

Lord, forgive me for my arrogance in thinking that I am above my race and the “common sense” which governs them.

So-called “Dangerous Acts” Judged as Foolishness

Because of our only-revealed understanding of God’s will and His intentions therein, it makes it nearly impossible to judge any other person (we do not see their relationship to the Father nor His will in their life, granted only by limited revelation) except by common sense, the sensitivity of the community in which they live and God’s directives for that community as a whole.

The Rush

The rush
The roar
The revelation of power and might
The black rocks
Dark like the pupil of an eye
Blanket after blanket rolls over them
Pulling them further out further away from the rest
Until their heels dig into the earth and they stay a while longer
Their wake of defiance flowing into the Great Mass
Eventually
However
Even the immovable is taken away with the tide
You see the gaping holes in his side and wonder
How long?
How long will he stay?
How long will he come?
Who can stand against his terrible greatness?
None.
I take the place of the pupil
Remove my roots from the earth
The blanket passes over
Never have I felt such strength
I am terrified
But free

Astounded at the Seemingly Miniscule Observations that Effect my Decisions

Sometimes I wonder if all the things that God brings to my attention are to prepare me for something similar, and possibly greater, in the future.

Concering the Possible Endeavor “Guide Wars to Peace”

Not as a general (of any particular persons on earth) because he cannot sacrifice his nationality or men, but as one who can speak to all with understanding and sympathy and still work only towards the will of God, with complete impartiality.

Reflecting on the Anticipation of Enormous Endeavors

May trust and obedience be a blessing to me; not to balk at the appearance of limiting circumstances, materials or character.  Because these are not founded in what appears to men, but they are founded in Christ, who is limitless in His appeals to the Father (who creates truth with the words of His mouth).  And this Christ works all things, through the Spirit, into submission of the Father’s kingdom, power and glory for all eternity.  And by the Father’s grace, I am freed, healed and empowered to abide in Christ and He in me, that I may be of one mind with them.

I have in everything to trust and obey.
