Beware! Statistics say you will fail!

How do we respond to such cold comments?

“You two are in the ’sparkles’ stage–so happy and content, in six months, it will die.”

What do they mean by saying it? They recognize that we are happy and content, but then do they assume we always have been? And that we believe we always will be?

Honestly, their statistics and irrelevant doubt enrage me. I spout out streams of sarcastic wit, judging the conditions of their own relationships as apparently poor and “dead” in themselves.

Nevertheless, we cannot say indefinitely and we cannot judge at all. So, we’ll smile in their general direction and file away these “facts.” We’ll live in today and prepare for tomorrow and seek for the truth, in where we are at.

Sanctification

At all times, Christ, my Lord and Savior, is breaking me or preparing me for brokenness and healing me or preparing me for healing. The passing events of this world are nothing new, but for those in Christ, our sanctification is the Father’s will.

A Glimpse of the Present

God is taking those areas in which I have weakness and building them up so that they must be habitually strengthened (i.e. physical fitness with the military, ROTC).  This in in preparation of the future.

Lord, give me the vision for what You have planned, no rather the the patience to wait on You.  In trust and obedience I will be blessed–do as You will, show as you will, I am Your (willing) slave.

Astounded at the Seemingly Miniscule Observations that Effect my Decisions

Sometimes I wonder if all the things that God brings to my attention are to prepare me for something similar, and possibly greater, in the future.
